Sun Metro Detours Routes Due to Construction

El Paso, Texas – Sun Metro will be required to detour routes near the downtown area starting on Sunday, October 2, 2016, due to street car construction.
 
Sun Metro staff will monitor the impacted areas and assist passengers as needed. Sun Metro drivers will make courtesy stops along the detoured routes as required. Some of the construction may result in delays to routes with stops at the Downtown Transfer Center.
 
DETOURS
Route 18 detour starting 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2nd through 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3rd
Buses traveling outbound will not be impacted.
Buses traveling inbound south on Mesa will make a right on Executive, left onto Paisano and return to regular route.

Multiple detours starting Monday, Oct. 3rd-and continuing through Oct. 10th
Route 1
Buses traveling inbound on I-10 West will take the Cotton exit, make a left onto Cotton, right onto Myrtle and return to regular route.

Route 3
Buses traveling outbound from the Downtown Transit Center will get onto Fourth, make a left onto El Paso, left onto Paisano, left onto Santa Fe, left onto Loop 375 E and return to regular route.

Route 42
Buses traveling inbound on US-54 South will make a right onto Loop 375 W, right onto Campbell, left onto Myrtle and return to regular route.
 
Route 59
Buses traveling inbound on I-10 West will take the Cotton exit, make a left onto Cotton, right onto Myrtle and return to regular route.
 
Route 75
Buses traveling outbound on I-10 West will take the Cotton exit, make a left onto Cotton, right onto Myrtle, right onto Stanton, left onto Main, right onto Mesa, left onto University, right onto Oregon and return to regular route.
    • Commuters travelling west on Interstate 10 from the Eastside, Mission Valley, Central, and Northeast El Paso who use Exit 19B/Downtown to Kansas Street, are encouraged to use the following alternate routes: I-10 to Exit 20/Cotton Street and access Downtown via Texas Avenue.
    • Loop 375/César Chávez Border Highway to Campbell Street to access Downtown.
