About the Project
Sun Metro is completing the construction phase of the Arves E. Jones, Sr. Transit Center at Northgate facility and will be opening soon. The Arves E. Jones, Sr. Transit Center at Northgate is Sun Metro’s newest addition to its system. It is located in Northeast El Paso on approximately 6 acres at the original site of the old Northgate Mall. The Northgate Transit Center serves as an anchor to a public-private partnership transit-oriented development being constructed on the remaining 23 acres of the site.
The first-class transfer center will provide civic space in which to gather, and an economic development engine for local business and surrounding community.
Expressed area of interest is, but is not limited to: interior public art exhibition integrated inside the facility that can be viewed by commuters entering and traveling the transit center. A selection panel will identify artists whose work is creative and innovative and is reflective to the El Paso region.
All interested artists are encouraged to apply and review further details on the application at callforentry.org and submit application by May 06 by 5:00pm MST.
