Ride the El Paso Streetcar to Chihuahuas 2019 Season Home Opener

Lucky Fans Will Travel to Ballpark With Chico
EL PASO, Texas – Sun Metro, in partnership with the Museum & Cultural Affairs Department and El Paso Chihuahuas, invites baseball fans to ditch their cars and enjoy their trip to Opening Day by hopping on the Streetcar.
Ride in style to and from Southwest University Park this Thursday, April 4, as the El Paso Chihuahuas open the regular season by taking on the Las Vegas Aviators. 
Riders who use the streetcar to get to opening day will get a chance to ride with the one and only Chico. Chico will be riding the Downtown loop starting prior to the game while his trip is featured on a live feed and on the big screen at the ballpark. Tracey Jerome, Managing Director of MCAD, Libraries and Tourism will join Chico to share fun facts during the ride.
Streetcar service hours will be extended to 11:00 p.m. to accommodate fans on game day.
The streetcar offers 27 convenient stops connecting Downtown El Paso to Glory Road Transit Center. The 4.8-mile route features two loops that interconnect an international bridge, an array of museums and restaurants, the baseball park, historic neighborhoods, and the University of Texas at El Paso among many other prominent locations making it easy for riders to enjoy.
Tickets can be purchased using the farebox inside any streetcar (exact change of $1.50 per ride required) or at any of the ticket vending locations throughout the route and Sun Metro transit centers.
