Ride the El Paso Streetcar for Free This Summer Courtesy of Sponsors
Use New Tracking App to Plan Your Trip

EL PASO, Texas – Riding the El Paso Streetcar will be easier starting today, June 17, 2019, when everyone can enjoy free trips thanks to the El Paso Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Management District, and the DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton in downtown.
The rides will be free courtesy of these sponsors every day this summer through Labor Day weekend.
“We encourage everyone to take advantage of this sponsorship by hopping on the El Paso Streetcar to rediscover downtown, uptown, and all that the streetcar route has to offer including the abundance of summer special events offered on these classic vehicles themselves,” said Tracey Jerome, Managing Director of Museum and Cultural Affairs, Libraries and Tourism.
The El Paso Streetcar operates Sunday through Wednesday 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 midnight, and Thursday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 a.m.
A new mobile app now enables riders to plan their trips by providing real-time information on the location of all streetcars in service along the nearly 5-mile route.  This new feature eliminates the guess work of streetcar availability.
The app is free and available from Google Play and the Apple App store.  The app allows passengers to:
  • Track the real-time location of the streetcar
  • Get real-time arrival information for all 27 stops
  • Access announcements on special programming and events
  • Receive alerts related to streetcar service
  • Highlight favorite stops
  • View information about the streetcar including special programs, services and hours of operation
