Sun Metro Service Impacts for Día de Los Muertos Parade

El PASO, Texas – This year’s Día de Los Muertos Parade will require Sun Metro to temporarily modify some of its routes on Saturday, November 2, 2019. Service impacts are expected to be in place until 6:30 p.m., depending on the length and pace of the parade. 

Affected Routes: 
Fixed Route service impacts will begin at 3:00 p.m.
  • Route 4
    • Buses traveling outbound will not be affected.
    • Buses traveling inbound from Missouri will turn left on Mesa, right onto Texas, left onto Oregon, right onto Paisano, right onto Anthony and return to the regular route.
  • Routes 10, 14 & 15
    • Buses traveling outbound from Santa Fe will turn right on Paisano, left on Campbell, left onto Yandell, right onto Oregon and return to the regular route.
    • Buses traveling inbound from Oregon will take turn left on Wyoming, right onto Kansas, right onto Texas, left onto Oregon, right onto Paisano, left onto Santa Fe and proceed into the Downtown Transit Center
    • Service at Oregon and Missouri (inbound) will be temporarily suspended 
  • Routes 34, 35, 36 & 50
    • Buses traveling outbound from Oregon will turn right on Paisano, left onto Campbell, left onto Main, right onto Mesa and return to the regular route. 
    • Buses traveling inbound from Oregon will turn left onto Wyoming, right onto Kansas, right onto Texas, left onto Oregon right onto Paisano, left onto Santa Fe and proceed into the Downtown Transit Center 
  • Mesa Brio service impacts will begin at 3:00 p.m.
    • Brio buses traveling outbound from Santa Fe will turn right on Paisano, left onto Campbell, left onto Yandell, right onto Oregon and return to the regular route. 
    • Brio buses traveling inbound from Oregon will turn left on Wyoming, right onto Kansas, right onto Paisano, left onto Santa Fe and return to the regular route. 
    • Service at the Franklin stop will be temporarily suspended 
  • El Paso Streetcar service impacts will begin at 2:00 p.m.
    • Service will be temporarily suspended on both the uptown and downtown loops
Sun Metro supervisors will be monitoring the area and will assist passengers as needed.
